The Institute of Noise Control Engineers (INCE) is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to serve as Lead and Editor of Noise News International (NNI), our online news platform dedicated to reporting news in the science and practice of noise and vibration control engineering. Position Overview
Curate, develop, and manage engaging content for the NNI online journal and LinkedIn page. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading platform in the field of noise control engineering and connect with professionals and researchers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Management: Oversee the organization and publication of high-quality articles, technical reports, and industry news.
- Content Scouting: Identify and recruit authors, contributors, and subject matter experts to share cutting-edge insights and developments.
- Trend Spotting: Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and issues in noise control engineering to propose timely and relevant topics.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all content aligns with NNI’s editorial standards and reflects the mission of INCE.
- Engagement: Foster relationships with contributors and readers, encouraging community involvement and active participation.
Qualifications
- A strong background in noise and vibration control engineering, acoustics, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, organization, and editing skills.
- Ability to identify valuable content and contributors within the noise control engineering community.
- Previous editorial, writing, or publishing experience (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with LinkedIn is preferred and a general understanding of digital publishing platforms like WordPress is desirable.
