Welcome to the June 2024 issue of Noise News International
We’re just a couple of months away from INTER-NOISE 2024 in Nantes. It promises to be a great conference, with a whole lot to look forward to (as outlined in this issue of NNI). The conference is being hosted at La Cité Nantes Congress Centre; a world-class convention center in the heart of the city! The theme of INTER-NOISE 2024 is From Jules Verne’s world to multi-disciplinary approaches for Acoustics & Noise Control Engineering. With our ever-changing world – and the ever-changing tools we have for noise control – the theme seems appropriate now more than ever.
Elsewhere in this issue we review NOISE-CON 2024, INCE-USA’s national conference, which was held in New Orleans in June. We also hear about a project that is translating soundscape attribute descriptors into 18(!) different languages, and how soundscapes may be used for indoor assessments.
If you would ever like to contribute to NNI, please feel free to get in touch. We are always interested to hear from our readers!
I hope you enjoy this issue of NNI, and I hope to see you in Nantes in August!
